On July 30, the first EndoFresh® Public Open Day · Cleanliness Discovery Tour officially began. Attorney Jin Hui, founder of Guangdong Gaozhiliang Law Firm, visited Daichuan Medical’s Pingshan manufacturing facility together with her team and partners. What People Want to Know Most About Single-Use Gastrointestinal Endoscopes
Following the facility tour, the event moved into a roundtable discussion. Key topics included the current burden of gastrointestinal cancers, challenges associated with reusable endoscopes, and the product characteristics and clinical applications of single-use endoscopy.

Reusable endoscopes must undergo standardized cleaning and disinfection after each use, meaning that procedure scheduling may be affected by the number of available endoscopes and the hospital’s reprocessing capacity. EndoFresh® single-use endoscopes require no repeated reprocessing and are ready to use upon opening, helping reduce equipment turnaround time and enabling more flexible scheduling. However, clinical requirements such as preprocedural fasting, bowel preparation, and medical assessment must still be completed in accordance with standard protocols.

One guest shared a personal experience of undergoing an examination with a reusable gastrointestinal endoscope. Although the hospital followed strict cleaning and disinfection procedures, seeing an endoscope used on a previous patient being taken away for reprocessing inevitably raised the question: “Was it really cleaned thoroughly?”
This concern does not reflect distrust in the hospital’s cleaning and disinfection practices.
