New Endoscopy, New Future | The 5th Lingnan Digestive Endoscopy Academic Forum Held Grandly, EndoFresh® Single-Use Endoscope Leads New Trends in Minimally Invasive Diagnosis and Treatment

Oct 16, 2025
September 20-21, Guangzhou – The 5th Lingnan Digestive Endoscopy Academic Forum was successfully held. Hosted by the Colorectal Cancer Prevention and Treatment Committee of the Guangdong Preventive Medicine Association, the conference brought together numerous leading domestic experts in the fields of gastroenterology and endoscopic diagnosis and treatment. Through various formats including keynote reports, case discussions, and live surgery demonstrations, the forum delved into the latest advancements and clinical practices in the treatment of digestive diseases.

As one of the highlights of the conference, the EndoFresh® Single-Use Electronic Digestive Endoscope System, launched by Daichuan Medical, garnered significant attention.

In the session on combined mother-baby endoscopy and laparoscopic-endoscopic techniques, Deputy Chief Physician Bi Yawei from the Chinese PLA General Hospital shared "Experience with Single-Use Endoscopes in POEM Procedures," while Professor Lu Jiaoyang from Qilu Hospital of Shandong University presented a report on "Experience with Single-Use Digestive Endoscopes in Dual-Endoscopy Combined Surgery." Both presentations affirmed the product's significant value in enhancing surgical efficiency and ensuring an aseptic environment from a clinical practice perspective.

I. Tackling Clinical Challenges, EndoFresh® Demonstrates Excellent Performance

In his keynote report, Deputy Chief Physician Bi Yawei from the Chinese PLA General Hospital highlighted the significant advantages of the EndoFresh® single-use digestive endoscope in POEM procedures. Its 'use-and-dispose' feature completely eliminates the risk of cross-contamination. Furthermore, its ease of operation and the elimination of cleaning and disinfection procedures greatly improve surgical efficiency.

Dr. Bi Yawei emphasized that as one of the earliest centers in China to perform POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy), the endoscopy team at the Chinese PLA General Hospital has accumulated extensive experience in managing various complex and challenging achalasia cases. Their practice of using EndoFresh® in dozens of POEM procedures has shown that the product is particularly suitable for day surgeries and emergency scenarios, significantly reducing turnover time between consecutive operations.

II. Solving Sterilization Challenges, Setting a New Standard for Surgical Safety

Professor Lu Jiaoyang from Qilu Hospital of Shandong University systematically explained the core concepts of dual-endoscopy combined surgery and the irreplaceable role of single-use endoscopes in his report. Professor Lu stressed that in dual-endoscopy combined surgery, where the endoscope enters the sterile abdominal cavity, the requirement for instrument sterility is extremely high. EndoFresh®, sterilized using Ethylene Oxide, guarantees 100% sterility from the source, making it an ideal choice.

Professor Lu also pointed out that the combination of "endoscopic full-thickness resection + laparoscopic sentinel lymph node biopsy" can help patients with early-stage cancer achieve "super minimally invasive" treatment, preserving organ function while ensuring oncological safety, significantly improving patients' post-operative quality of life.

III. Excellent Product Performance, Redefining Surgical Standards

The EndoFresh® Single-Use Digestive Endoscope System offers the following outstanding advantages:

  • Excellent Maneuverability and High-Definition Imaging: A large 3.8mm instrument channel combined with 210° multi-directional bending ensures ease of operation within narrow lumens; 1920×1080 high-definition imaging technology aids in precise lesion identification and treatment.

  • Ready-to-Use, Enhancing Surgical Efficiency: Eliminates the need for traditional endoscope cleaning, disinfection, and preparation, making it particularly suitable for day surgeries and consecutive operations.

  • Portable Design, Covering Multiple Scenarios: The GEC-2000P whole unit weighs only 15.5kg, allowing for rapid deployment in emergency departments, ICUs, bedside settings, and during surgeries.

IV. On-Site Experience Receives Positive Feedback, Clinical Recognition of Product Value

During the conference, Daichuan Medical set up a product experience zone where the EndoFresh® portable single-use digestive endoscope system GEC-2000P attracted widespread attention from participating experts. Many physicians who experienced it on-site commented that its maneuverability is comparable to high-end reusable endoscopes, and its integrated design breaks through spatial limitations.

A postgraduate student experiencing the product stated: "Previously, in clinical training, we mostly could only observe. This time, being able to personally operate such a high-performance single-use endoscope fills me with confidence in the development of domestically innovative technologies."

V. Looking to the Future: Continuous Innovation, Unwavering Protection

Digestive endoscopy technology has evolved from a purely diagnostic tool into a comprehensive platform integrating diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. This Lingnan Digestive Endoscopy Forum not only built a bridge for academic exchange in Guangdong and across the nation but also provided valuable learning opportunities for young physicians, contributing to the overall improvement of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment levels regionally and nationally.
This Lingnan Digestive Endoscopy Forum has laid a solid foundation for promoting the application of EndoFresh® single-use endoscopy technology. Daichuan Medical will continue to uphold its original aspiration of "responding to clinical needs anytime, accessible to primary care scenarios," through continuous technological innovation:

  • Continuously optimize imaging and maneuverability to tackle more complex procedures.

  • Deepen the integration of AI-assisted diagnosis and surgical navigation systems.

  • Promote the adoption of single-use endoscopy technology at the primary care level, supporting hierarchical medical care.

EndoFresh® remains committed to achieving a "safer, more convenient, and more accessible" medical experience, exploring clinical needs and value in-depth with domestic and international endoscopy experts, and jointly opening a new era of minimally invasive healthcare with new endoscopes.
